The Lunar Warriors: The Elemental Wolves Book 2 (Part 1) Page 9

Cash is right, James. There has to be something else we can do.

Well, what do you boys suggest? We can’t break through spells!

I don’t know, okay! Just… Try to get the luna he as fast as possible. Make sure she has enforcers or something with her.

I know how to keep my mate protected, he growls out at Krix, but it’s the wrong time for him to try to put us in our place. Before I can even register that he’s moved, Krix in on him like white on rice. He’s got James pinned to the ground in less than a second.

That’s not what I was suggesting, and you know it. Now is not the time for you to challenge us. Our wolves are too close to going feral. We respect you as an alpha, James, but you said it yourself. We’re too dominant to be under anyone.

After his little speech, he slowly moves off of James, who has enough sense to get up slowly without looking Krix in the eye. We’ve always been the most dominant, but we’ve also always held back. Krix is right. Now isn’t the time to test our patience.

We’ll go back to the clearing and see if there’s anything that we can find out, Denahi tells James without a bit of remorse in his eyes.

This is going to cause some tension if it’s not discussed, but it won’t get talked about right now. The four of us turn to head back towards where we’re being pulled with a quickness in our step.

There has to be another way to bring the cabin into view. I know nothing about spells, and I know the others are in the same boat. We can’t afford to give up hope, though. Our girl is literally right in from of us.

Fuck, what would Harry Potter do?

  Author’s Note

I know, I know! Don’t hate me, guys! There was just so much more that I wanted to do with this book. It kind of took complete control of itself, and started flowing into something that even surprised me! Don’t worry, the second part is coming. You won’t be disappointed, I promise. This has been a wild ride so far, and it’s only going to get crazier. Buckle up, buttercups!

  About the Author

  M. D. Butler

  M. D. Butler is a military spouse who has also served in the United States Navy Reserve. She has four little girls who each have a piece of her crazy personality and attitude, so her home is constant chaos. Yikes!

Living in a house with all of those girls has inspired her to write books with strong female characters who have the sass and strength of her own girls, despite whatever life has thrown at them.

She writes stories that she dreams up when she can’t find a book to read that has the characteristics that she’s craving at the that time.

Being in the military has given her a sailor’s mouth, and a dry humor with a side of vulgarity. Her books are not clean, so don’t open them up if you’re opposed to strong, mildly offensive language!

She’s also a realist who understands that sex and passion are normal aspects within a relationship. Might have to keep an eye out for that as well!
